Mount Solaro
Mount Solaro (Monte Solaro) is the highest point on the island of Capri, rising 589 metres above sea level, and is renowned for its spectacular panoramic views. Located above Anacapri, the mountain offers breathtaking scenery across Capri, the Gulf of Naples, the Amalfi Coast, and the surrounding Mediterranean landscape.
Visitors can reach the summit by the famous single-seat chairlift from Piazza Vittoria in Anacapri, with the journey taking approximately 12 minutes. At the top, visitors can enjoy panoramic terraces, scenic viewpoints, and views of the Faraglioni rocks, Mount Tiberio, the Gulf of Naples, and the Sorrento Peninsula.
The experience is enhanced by spectacular mountain scenery, panoramic sea views, chairlift rides, hiking trails, and the peaceful beauty of Capri, making Mount Solaro a memorable highlight of any Italy and Europe tour with Oxford Travels.
