Sierra Leone offers an official e-Visa system for eligible foreign nationals, including Indian passport holders in most cases. The visa allows travelers to apply online before travel for purposes such as tourism, business, family visits, and short stays.
Applicants must complete an online application, upload required documents, and pay the visa fee electronically. Once approved, they receive an e-Visa approval letter (PDF format) via email, which must be printed and carried during travel.
The visa is generally issued as a short-stay entry permit, and the validity, number of entries, and duration of stay are decided by Sierra Leone immigration authorities. Entry is mainly through Freetown International Airport, and final admission is always subject to immigration clearance at arrival.
