Within walking distance of The Royal Sportsman is the heritage Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway terminal, which has lines to Blaenau Ffestiniog and Caernarfon. Train rides head across the Glaslyn Estuary and through Snowdonia to Blaenau Ffestiniog. The Royal Sportsman is rated 3 stars by the AA and Visit Wales. It was built with local slate, and the bar and lounge have original stone and slate fireplaces. Dogs are allowed in designated courtyard rooms, when available. Extra charge are applicable.
