Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. The journey is scenic and pleasant, offering beautiful views of the Teesta River, lush green valleys, and winding mountain roads. On arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. In the evening, visit MG Marg, the vibrant heart of Gangtok. This pedestrian-only street is known for its cleanliness, lively atmosphere, shops, and cafés, making it a perfect place for a leisurely stroll and local shopping experience. Return to the hotel for Overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Gangtok

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake), located approximately 35 kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. This beautiful glacial lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and remains covered with snow during winter. The lake is fed by the melting snow of the surrounding peaks, and its color changes with the seasons. According to local beliefs, Buddhist monks (lamas) could predict the future by observing the changing colors of the lake. Later, visit the sacred Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, popularly known as Baba Mandir, which holds great religious significance and is dedicated to an Indian soldier believed to protect the region. After completing the excursion, return to Gangtok by evening. Overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Lachen
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed towards Lachen, a picturesque mountain village in North Sikkim. The journey is scenic and adventurous, passing through winding roads, deep valleys, and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes. En Route Sightseeing Dikchu Dam , Naga Waterfall , Singhik View Point ,Waterfalls & Scenic Valleys. On arrival at Lachen by evening, check in to the hotel and relax. Lachung

Early morning, proceed for an excursion to Gurudongmar Lake, one of the highest lakes in the world, situated at an altitude of approximately 17,800 feet. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the lake is known for its crystal-clear waters and breathtaking natural beauty. It holds great religious significance for both Buddhists and Sikhs, and is considered a sacred site. After enjoying the serene views and spending some time at the lake, return to Lachen for breakfast. Later, check out from the hotel and drive towards Lachung, another beautiful mountain village in North Sikkim. The journey offers scenic views of waterfalls, rivers, and lush valleys along the way. Lachung

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for an excursion to Yumthang Valley, popularly known as the “Valley of Flowers.” Situated at an altitude of around 11,800 feet, this picturesque valley is surrounded by snow-clad mountains and offers breathtaking natural beauty. The valley is rich in flora and fauna, especially famous for its vibrant rhododendrons and primulas that bloom in abundance during the season. Yumthang also serves as a summer grazing ground for yaks, adding to its unique charm. On the way back, visit the Yumthang Hot Spring, a natural sulphur hot spring known for its medicinal properties. After the excursion, return to Lachung and relax at the hotel. Overnight stay at Lachung hotel.

Gangtok

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed for your return journey to Gangtok. En route, enjoy the natural beauty of the Himalayan landscape as you descend towards the capital city. Arrive in Gangtok by late evening. After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed towards Darjeeling, one of the most scenic and popular hill stations in India. Early morning, proceed to visit Tiger Hill, one of the most famous viewpoints in Darjeeling, to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayan range. On a clear day, you can see panoramic views of Kanchenjunga and even Mount Everest. As the sun rises, the snow-covered peaks gradually change colors from soft pink to golden, creating a truly mesmerizing sight. On the way back, visit the historic Ghoom Monastery, the oldest monastery in the region, built in 1875, which houses a magnificent 15-feet statue of Maitreya Buddha. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, proceed for a half-day city tour covering important attractions of Darjeeling Himalayan Mountaineering Institute , Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park , Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre , Tenzing Rock & Gombu Rock , Happy Valley Tea Estate.Return to the hotel after sightseeing. Darjeeling

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed towards Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for your onward journey.   • We will not be held responsible for any delays in rail/airline leading to misconnecting of onward flights/train.
  • If any airline/train is delayed or cancelled, Oxford Travels is not responsible for any compensation for hotels, meals, sightseeing or any other claim.

To book any Domestic Holiday or travel services, a person has to make an initial non-refundable deposit of Rs. 2,499/- per person. In case a person want to book air-tickets / train tickets as part of his tour package, 100% payment is required as the time of booking. Balance payment is to be paid at least 15 days prior to date of departure. 

Cancellation Rules: Cancellations of a tour package must be intimated to us in writing / Email & cancellation charges applicable are as follows: 

  • 21 Days or more prior to the departure or non-payment of balance amount- Rs.2,499/- per person.
  • 20-15 Days prior to the departure 25% of the tour cost.
  • 14-07 Days prior to the departure of the tour 50% of the total tour cost.
  • 07-04 Days prior to the departure of the tour 75% of the total tour cost.
  • 03 Days prior or a “No Show” on the tour 100% of the total tour cost.

For the cancellation of services other than tour package (such as air-tickets/train-tickets/cruises/safaris, etc) booked with Oxford Travels will attract cancellation charges as per the policy of respective supplier of the services. Oxford Travels does not take responsibility for fees relating to the issuance and / or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not done through Oxford Travels.
