Note:Mauna Kea Beach Hotel’s $180-million transformation is now complete, featuring refreshed accommodations, enhanced dining venues, and elevated resort experiences, all fully open to guests. The final phase of the renovation includes the debut of a new destination spa, anticipated to open in mid-April 2026 (Date is subject to change). This addition will be the final enhancement to the Mauna Kea experience. All major hotel renovations have been finalized, and no noise disruption is expected. Most of the remaining work on the newly constructed spa will take place behind decorative barriers and out of guests' view. Some minimal noise may occur during the final phase of construction, limited to the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

With Phase One now complete, the hotel's Main Tower welcomes guests with newly reimagined guest rooms and suites, an elevated lobby experience, refreshed retail spaces, and the hotel's new Mauna Kea Market.

Phase Two of the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel renovation will debut in mid-November 2025, introducing newly renovated Beach Wing guestrooms and suites, each offering stunning ocean views and ground-floor rooms with direct beach lawn access to iconic Kauna'oa Bay (Date is subject to change).

Guests will also soon enjoy enhanced resort offerings, including Adult-Only Pool Deck with an infinity-edge pool and jacuzzi hot tub, an oceanfront Fitness Center, the renovated Hau Tree Restaurant, the Discovery Keiki Zone, Salon, the revitalized Mauna Kea pool, the relocated jacuzzi, and more.

The full transformation, including a new destination spa, will conclude the completion of the entire renovation in Spring 2026 (Date is subject to change).

Main Tower – Newly Renovated Accommodations

Golf Vista: Newly renovated Golf Vista guest rooms feature a large furnished lanai (balcony) providing beautiful views of Mauna Kea Golf Course’s lush green fairway and the distant Kohala Mountains.

Golf Vista Deluxe: Newly renovated Golf Vista Deluxe rooms offer guests more living space, featuring two furnished lanais (balconies) with views of the hotel's championship golf course and the Kohala Mountains, double vanities, a luxury soaking tub, and ample closet space.

Ocean View: Newly renovated Ocean View guest rooms are located in the north end of the Main Tower and offer a large, furnished lanai (balcony) and sweeping views of the ocean.

Oceanfront: Newly renovated oceanfront rooms are located in the center of the Main Tower, featuring unobstructed panoramic views of both the ocean and the hotel's iconic Kauna'oa Bay. These rooms also feature a large, furnished lanai (balcony) with breathtaking views of the Pacific.

Oceanfront Deluxe: The newly renovated Ocean Front Deluxe rooms are located in the center of the Main Tower, offering sweeping views of both the ocean and Kauna'oa Bay. Offering more living space, these rooms feature double vanities, a luxury soaking tub, two large furnished lanais (balconies), and some include a walk-in closet.

Unveiling this fall, the hotel's newly renovated ocean-facing Beachfront Wing guestrooms and Suites, floors 1-4, boast spectacular views across lush greenery to the ocean. An easy entry point to the white sands of Kauna’oa Bay. Every room has a furnished lanai (balcony), and the ground-floor guest rooms open directly onto the beach lawn.
