After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Tawang. Visit the famous Tawang Ganden Namgyal Lhatse Monastery, popularly known as the Tawang Monastery or Gompa. This magnificent 400-year-old Mahayana Buddhist monastery is the largest in India and the second largest in the world. Perched amidst breathtaking mountain surroundings, the monastery is renowned for its rich collection of ancient scriptures, gold-lettered Buddhist texts, valuable books, traditional paintings, and beautiful tapestries. The impressive 18-foot-high gilded statue of Lord Buddha inside the monastery complex is a major attraction.
Later, visit the historic Urgelling Monastery, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, the only Indian to have attained such a revered position in the Gelugpa sect of Buddhism. The monastery holds immense religious and cultural significance and offers a peaceful spiritual atmosphere.
In the evening, enjoy shopping at the local Craft Centre, known for its traditional handicrafts, beautifully crafted masks, handwoven carpets, silver jewelry, coral and amber ornaments, and the traditional local dress known as “Chuba.” The market also offers a variety of charming souvenirs and mementos. After breakfast, proceed towards Bhalukpong, a charming town located on the border of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, nestled amidst scenic hills and lush forests along the banks of the Kameng River. Upon arrival, explore Bhalukpong, a serene destination known for its natural beauty and peaceful surroundings. The town is a popular spot for angling, riverside relaxation, and leisurely picnics amidst nature. Surrounded by forests and flowing river streams, Bhalukpong provides a refreshing retreat for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts alike. Overnight stay at Bhalukpong.
After breakfast, proceed towards Kaziranga National Park, one of the most celebrated wildlife sanctuaries in India and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River, Kaziranga is renowned for being home to the world’s largest population of the rare Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros. En route, enjoy the scenic beauty of Assam’s sprawling tea estates, lush green landscapes, and charming countryside views.
Upon arrival at Kaziranga, check in to the resort and relax. Later in the afternoon, enjoy an exciting Jeep Safari in the Western Range (Bagori Range) of Kaziranga National Park. The safari offers an excellent opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife including the famous one-horned rhinoceros, wild elephants, swamp deer, wild buffaloes, and numerous species of birds in their natural habitat. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

After breakfast, proceed towards Shillong, the charming capital city of Meghalaya, popularly known as the “Scotland of the East” for its rolling hills, pleasant climate, and scenic beauty. En route, enjoy picturesque landscapes, lush green valleys, and cascading waterfalls. Arrive in Shillong by evening, check in to the hotel, and relax. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Visit Shillong Peak, the highest point in the city, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Shillong town, the surrounding hills, and lush valleys. Later, visit the Don Bosco Museum, one of the most modern and hi-tech museums in India, showcasing the rich cultural heritage, traditions, lifestyles, and history of the North Eastern states through fascinating exhibits and galleries.
Thereafter, proceed to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth, famous for its dramatic landscapes, waterfalls, caves, and mist-covered hills. Upon arrival, visit the spectacular Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India, known for its mesmerizing beauty and fascinating local legend. Also visit the stunning Seven Sisters Falls, a magnificent seven-segmented waterfall cascading down the limestone cliffs amidst lush greenery. Later, visit the serene Ramakrishna Mission, known for its spiritual significance and peaceful surroundings. After an enjoyable day of sightseeing, return to Shillong for an overnight stay.

Upon arrival in Guwahati, visit the revered Kamakhya Temple, one of the most sacred Shakti Peethas in India, located atop the Nilachal Hills. Dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya, the temple is an important pilgrimage site known for its unique architecture and spiritual significance. Later, enjoy a memorable boat ride on the Brahmaputra River to visit the famous Umananda Temple, situated on Peacock Island, one of the smallest inhabited river islands in the world. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple offers beautiful river views and a peaceful spiritual atmosphere. After sightseeing, check in to the hotel for an overnight stay at Guwahati.

- In case we are not able to provide the same hotels as mentioned, then we shall provide similar alternate properties, change in the cost if any will be advised.
- Standard Hotel Check-in time is 1400 Hrs & Check-out time is 1100 Hrs.
- AC will not work in Hilly regions.
- We will not be held responsible for any delays in rail/airline leading to misconnecting of onward flights/train.
- If any airline/train is delayed or cancelled, Oxford Travels is not responsible for any compensation for hotels, meals, sightseeing or any other claim.
To book any Domestic Holiday or travel services, a person has to make an initial non-refundable deposit of Rs. 2,499/- per person. In case a person want to book air-tickets / train tickets as part of his tour package, 100% payment is required as the time of booking. Balance payment is to be paid at least 15 days prior to date of departure.
Cancellation Rules: Cancellations of a tour package must be intimated to us in writing / Email & cancellation charges applicable are as follows:
- 21 Days or more prior to the departure or non-payment of balance amount- Rs.2,499/- per person.
- 20-15 Days prior to the departure 25% of the tour cost.
- 14-07 Days prior to the departure of the tour 50% of the total tour cost.
- 07-04 Days prior to the departure of the tour 75% of the total tour cost.
- 03 Days prior or a “No Show” on the tour 100% of the total tour cost.
For the cancellation of services other than tour package (such as air-tickets/train-tickets/cruises/safaris, etc) booked with Oxford Travels will attract cancellation charges as per the policy of respective supplier of the services. Oxford Travels does not take responsibility for fees relating to the issuance and / or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not done through Oxford Travels.
