On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to Darjeeling (6,950 ft). The drive is scenic and enjoyable, passing through lush green tea gardens, winding mountain roads, and beautiful Himalayan landscapes. On arrival in Darjeeling, check in to the hotel and relax. The rest of the day is free for leisure, allowing you to acclimatize to the pleasant hill station environment or explore the nearby surroundings on your own. Overnight stay at Darjeeling hotel.

Darjeeling
Early morning around 4:00 AM, proceed for an excursion to Tiger Hill (subject to permit/token availability) to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayan range. On a clear day, panoramic views of Kanchenjunga and other snow-capped peaks can be seen as the first rays of the sun illuminate the mountains. After the visit, return to the hotel. After breakfast, proceed for a full-day local sightseeing tour of Darjeeling covering major attractions Himalayan Mountaineering Institute , Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park , Tenzing Rock, Darjeeling Ropeway , Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre , Tea Garden , Japanese Peace Pagoda , Ghoom Monastery , Batasia Loop. Evening is free for shopping or leisure activities at Chowrasta Mall Road or nearby areas. Overnight stay at Darjeeling hotel.

Darjeeling
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full-day excursion to Mirik, a charming hill station located at an altitude of 4,902 ft. Known for its serene environment and natural beauty, Mirik is a perfect getaway surrounded by forested hills with the majestic backdrop of Kanchenjunga. The drive to Mirik is extremely scenic, passing through lush green tea gardens, orange orchards, cardamom plantations, and dense pine forests, offering refreshing views throughout the journey. Sumendu Lake , Enjoy optional activities like horse riding and boating at the lake (on direct payment basis) Later, while returning to Darjeeling, visit Pashupati Market, a popular Indo-Nepal border market known for shopping and local goods (additional vehicle charges applicable for border visit, payable directly). After sightseeing, return to Darjeeling by evening. Overnight stay at Darjeeling hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed towards Gangtok (5,500 ft.), the capital city of Sikkim. The journey offers beautiful scenic views of the Eastern Himalayas, lush green valleys, and winding mountain roads. On arrival in Gangtok, check in to the hotel and relax. The rest of the day is free for leisure, allowing you to unwind or explore nearby surroundings at your own pace. Overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Gangtok

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake, located at an altitude of 12,400 ft and approximately 37 Kms from Gangtok. This glacial lake is surrounded by snow-clad mountains and offers breathtaking natural beauty, making it one of the most iconic attractions of Sikkim. Later, continue your journey to Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, situated at an altitude of 13,200 ft, around 16 Kms from Tsomgo Lake. This revered shrine is dedicated to an Indian soldier and is considered highly sacred by locals and visitors alike. After completing the excursion, return to Gangtok by evening. Overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Note: In case of landslides, weather conditions, or government restrictions, if Tsomgo Lake is closed, alternate sightseeing will be provided.

Gangtok
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full-day city tour of Gangtok, covering some of its most popular viewpoints, monasteries, and cultural attractions. Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok , Flower Exhibition Centre Cottage Industry & Handicraft Centre (closed on Sunday and 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month) – Displays traditional Sikkimese handicrafts and handwoven products , Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday) – A renowned institute preserving Tibetan culture, history, and artifacts, Do Drul Chorten – One of the most important stupas in Sikkim, surrounded by prayer wheels Gonjang Monastery – A peaceful Buddhist monastery offering serene surroundings Banjhakri Falls – A scenic waterfall set amidst a beautifully landscaped park After completing the sightseeing (approx. 6 hours), return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Gangtok

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed for your return journey to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport. The drive offers scenic views as you descend from the hills through lush green valleys, winding roads, and alongside the Teesta River. On arrival, you will be dropped at the railway station or airport in time to board your train or flight to your onward destination.

Tour concludes with pleasant memories.

  • We will not be held responsible for any delays in rail/airline leading to misconnecting of onward flights/train.
  • If any airline/train is delayed or cancelled, Oxford Travels is not responsible for any compensation for hotels, meals, sightseeing or any other claim.

To book any Domestic Holiday or travel services, a person has to make an initial non-refundable deposit of Rs. 2,499/- per person. In case a person want to book air-tickets / train tickets as part of his tour package, 100% payment is required as the time of booking. Balance payment is to be paid at least 15 days prior to date of departure. 

Cancellation Rules: Cancellations of a tour package must be intimated to us in writing / Email & cancellation charges applicable are as follows: 

  • 21 Days or more prior to the departure or non-payment of balance amount- Rs.2,499/- per person.
  • 20-15 Days prior to the departure 25% of the tour cost.
  • 14-07 Days prior to the departure of the tour 50% of the total tour cost.
  • 07-04 Days prior to the departure of the tour 75% of the total tour cost.
  • 03 Days prior or a “No Show” on the tour 100% of the total tour cost.

For the cancellation of services other than tour package (such as air-tickets/train-tickets/cruises/safaris, etc) booked with Oxford Travels will attract cancellation charges as per the policy of respective supplier of the services. Oxford Travels does not take responsibility for fees relating to the issuance and / or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not done through Oxford Travels.
