On arrival at Bagdogra Airport / Railway Station, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and proceed towards Darjeeling by road. The drive offers scenic views as you ascend into the Eastern Himalayas, passing through lush green tea gardens, winding mountain roads, and charming hillside settlements. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure, enjoying the cool mountain breeze.

Darjeeling
Early morning, visit Tiger Hill to witness a stunning sunrise over the Himalayan range including Kanchenjunga and, on clear days, Mount Everest. The sunrise view, where the snow peaks slowly turn golden, is a truly unforgettable experience. On the way back, visit the historic Ghoom Monastery, built in 1875, which houses a 15-feet statue of Maitreya Buddha. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, proceed for a city tour covering Himalayan Mountaineering Institute , Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park ,Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre, Tenzing Rock & Gombu Rock , Happy Valley Tea Estate. Return to the hotel after sightseeing. Overnight stay at Darjeeling hotel.

The journey offers scenic views of the Eastern Himalayas, lush green valleys, and winding mountain roads, making it a pleasant and memorable drive. Gangtok
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (also known as Changu Lake), located approximately 35 kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. This glacial lake is one of the most picturesque spots in Sikkim, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The lake derives its water from melting snow of the surrounding peaks, and its color changes with the seasons. According to local legends, Buddhist monks (lamas) used to predict the future by observing the changing colors of the lake. Enjoy the serene beauty of the lake and the cool mountain atmosphere. Later, visit the sacred Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, popularly known as Baba Mandir. This shrine is dedicated to an Indian soldier, and it is believed that his spirit still protects the region. The temple holds great religious significance and is visited by both locals and tourists. After completing the excursion, return to Gangtok by evening. Overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive towards Kalimpong, a serene hill station known for its pleasant climate and scenic beauty. The journey offers beautiful views of the Eastern Himalayas, lush valleys, and the flowing Teesta River along the way. On arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. Afternoon City Tour Kalimpong Sightseeing Zang Dhok Palri Phodang Monastery , Tharpa Choling Monastery , Thongsa Gompa, Flower Nurseries .After sightseeing, return to the hotel. On arrival, you will be dropped at the airport/railway station in time to board your flight or train back home. Tour concludes with pleasant memories.

  • AC will not work in Hilly regions.
  • We will not be held responsible for any delays in rail/airline leading to misconnecting of onward flights/train.
  • If any airline/train is delayed or cancelled, Oxford Travels is not responsible for any compensation for hotels, meals, sightseeing or any other claim.

To book any Domestic Holiday or travel services, a person has to make an initial non-refundable deposit of Rs. 2,499/- per person. In case a person want to book air-tickets / train tickets as part of his tour package, 100% payment is required as the time of booking. Balance payment is to be paid at least 15 days prior to date of departure. 

Cancellation Rules: Cancellations of a tour package must be intimated to us in writing / Email & cancellation charges applicable are as follows: 

  • 21 Days or more prior to the departure or non-payment of balance amount- Rs.2,499/- per person.
  • 20-15 Days prior to the departure 25% of the tour cost.
  • 14-07 Days prior to the departure of the tour 50% of the total tour cost.
  • 07-04 Days prior to the departure of the tour 75% of the total tour cost.
  • 03 Days prior or a “No Show” on the tour 100% of the total tour cost.

For the cancellation of services other than tour package (such as air-tickets/train-tickets/cruises/safaris, etc) booked with Oxford Travels will attract cancellation charges as per the policy of respective supplier of the services. Oxford Travels does not take responsibility for fees relating to the issuance and / or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not done through Oxford Travels.
