Continue to Fountains Square, a popular public square in downtown Baku, adorned with numerous fountains and serving as a vibrant gathering place for locals and visitors alike. The tour concludes with a visit to the Heydar Aliyev Center, a modern architectural marvel designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid. Baku

After breakfast at your hotel in Baku, set out for a full-day excursion to the Absheron Peninsula, exploring Azerbaijan’s fascinating land of fire heritage. Begin with a visit to the Ateshgah (Fire Temple), historically used by Hindu and Zoroastrian worshippers, as evidenced by Persian and Indian inscriptions. The 17th–18th century pentagonal complex features a central altar surrounded by cells for monks, with flames historically symbolizing spiritual energy. The Persian word “Atash” means fire, highlighting the temple’s connection to eternal flames revered by ancient devotees. Continue to Yanardag (Fire Mountain), located 25 km north of Baku. This natural gas flame blazes continuously on a hillside of the Absheron Peninsula, creating a spectacular scene where flames dance along rocks and slopes. The phenomenon has earned the area the nickname “Land of Fire”, reflecting Azerbaijan’s unique geological and cultural identity. Return to Baku for an Overnight stay at your hotel.
