Upon arrival, visit the sacred Golden Temple, the holiest Sikh shrine and a living symbol of the community’s spiritual and historical traditions. In the afternoon, proceed to the Wagah Border, located about 30 km from the city, to witness the electrifying Flag Retreat (Beating the Retreat) Ceremony, marked by synchronized drills, patriotic fervor, and the ceremonial lowering of the flags by Indian and Pakistani soldiers. After the ceremony, return to Amritsar for relaxation and an overnight stay at your hotel.

After breakfast at your hotel in Amritsar, begin the day with a visit to Jallianwala Bagh, a poignant memorial commemorating the tragic massacre of April 13, 1919, where British troops opened fire on a peaceful gathering, claiming hundreds of lives. Following this significant visit and lunch, proceed to the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum, the former summer palace of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, located within the serene Ram Bagh Garden and housing artifacts reflecting Sikh history and royal heritage. Later, transfer to the railway station or airport for your onward journey, marking the conclusion of your memorable tour.

  • We will not be held responsible for any delays in rail/airline leading to misconnecting of onward flights/train.
  • If any airline/train is delayed or cancelled, Oxford Travels is not responsible for any compensation for hotels, meals, sightseeing or any other claim.

To book any Domestic Holiday or travel services, a person has to make an initial non-refundable deposit of Rs. 2,499/- per person. In case a person want to book air-tickets / train tickets as part of his tour package, 100% payment is required as the time of booking. Balance payment is to be paid at least 15 days prior to date of departure. 

Cancellation Rules: Cancellations of a tour package must be intimated to us in writing / Email & cancellation charges applicable are as follows: 

  • 21 Days or more prior to the departure or non-payment of balance amount- Rs.2,499/- per person.
  • 20-15 Days prior to the departure 25% of the tour cost.
  • 14-07 Days prior to the departure of the tour 50% of the total tour cost.
  • 07-04 Days prior to the departure of the tour 75% of the total tour cost.
  • 03 Days prior or a “No Show” on the tour 100% of the total tour cost.

For the cancellation of services other than tour package (such as air-tickets/train-tickets/cruises/safaris, etc) booked with Oxford Travels will attract cancellation charges as per the policy of respective supplier of the services. Oxford Travels does not take responsibility for fees relating to the issuance and / or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not done through Oxford Travels.
