On arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be warmly received by our representative and transferred to Kaziranga National Park, one of India’s most famous wildlife sanctuaries and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The journey offers glimpses of Assam’s lush green landscapes, tea gardens, and picturesque villages. Upon reaching Kaziranga, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax after your journey. The rest of the day is at leisure, giving you an opportunity to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, take a short walk near the hotel, or simply soak in the natural beauty of the area. Kaziranga, renowned for its population of the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, also provides a perfect setting to experience Assam’s rich flora and fauna. Overnight stay will be at Kaziranga.

After an early breakfast, embark on an exciting day of wildlife exploration in Kaziranga National Park. You will experience both morning and afternoon Jeep Safaris, which offer the perfect opportunity to witness the park’s incredible biodiversity. During the safaris, you may spot the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, wild elephants, swamp deer, and a variety of migratory and resident birds, all set against the backdrop of lush grasslands and forests. Between safaris, you can relax at your hotel or enjoy a leisurely walk around the surrounding areas to soak in the natural beauty and tranquility of the park. Kaziranga, being a UNESCO World Heritage site, provides not only thrilling wildlife experiences but also a serene environment for nature enthusiasts and photographers. Overnight stay will be at Kaziranga.

Start your day early with an Elephant Safari at 5:00 AM in the heart of Kaziranga National Park, offering a unique and close-up experience of the park’s wildlife. From atop the elephant, you may spot the famous one-horned rhinoceros, wild elephants, swamp deer, and a variety of exotic birds amidst the serene grasslands. After returning from the safari, enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel. Later in the day, embark on a Jeep Safari in the Central Range of the park, which covers a larger area and allows you to explore different zones rich in flora and fauna. This full day of wildlife exploration combines adventure, photography opportunities, and nature immersion, making it a truly memorable experience. Overnight stay will be at Kaziranga.

Elephant Safari | Jeep Safari in the Central Range

Guwahati
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Guwahati, the gateway to Assam and the largest city in the region. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax for a while. Later in the evening, enjoy a leisurely river cruise on the Brahmaputra River, offering stunning views of the city skyline, the riverbanks, and the surrounding hills as the sun sets. This cruise provides a peaceful and scenic experience, perfect for photography and relaxation. (Please note: Charges for the Brahmaputra River Cruise are to be borne by the guests.) After the cruise, return to your hotel for overnight stay in Guwahati.

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day city tour of Guwahati, exploring some of the most famous religious and cultural landmarks in the region. Begin your sightseeing with the Kamakhya Temple, one of the holiest Shakti Peethas in India, followed by a visit to the Navagraha Temple, known for its unique architecture and spiritual significance. Continue to the Umananda Temple, located on a small island in the Brahmaputra River, offering picturesque views and a serene atmosphere. Next, visit the Balaji Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and conclude the tour with a stop at the Assam State Zoo, home to a variety of native and exotic animals. The day provides a perfect blend of spirituality, culture, and nature, giving you an insight into Assam’s heritage. Overnight stay will be at Guwahati.

The morning is free for packing, personal activities, or last-minute shopping. After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed for your onward journey.   • In case we are not able to provide the same hotels as mentioned, then we shall provide similar alternate properties, change in the cost if any will be advised.
  • Standard Hotel Check-in time is 1400 Hrs & Check-out time is 1100 Hrs.
  • AC will not work in Hilly regions.
  • We will not be held responsible for any delays in rail/airline leading to misconnecting of onward flights/train.
  • If any airline/train is delayed or cancelled, Oxford Travels is not responsible for any compensation for hotels, meals, sightseeing or any other claim.

To book any Domestic Holiday or travel services, a person has to make an initial non-refundable deposit of Rs. 2,499/- per person. In case a person want to book air-tickets / train tickets as part of his tour package, 100% payment is required as the time of booking. Balance payment is to be paid at least 15 days prior to date of departure. 

Cancellation Rules: Cancellations of a tour package must be intimated to us in writing / Email & cancellation charges applicable are as follows: 

  • 21 Days or more prior to the departure or non-payment of balance amount- Rs.2,499/- per person.
  • 20-15 Days prior to the departure 25% of the tour cost.
  • 14-07 Days prior to the departure of the tour 50% of the total tour cost.
  • 07-04 Days prior to the departure of the tour 75% of the total tour cost.
  • 03 Days prior or a “No Show” on the tour 100% of the total tour cost.

For the cancellation of services other than tour package (such as air-tickets/train-tickets/cruises/safaris, etc) booked with Oxford Travels will attract cancellation charges as per the policy of respective supplier of the services. Oxford Travels does not take responsibility for fees relating to the issuance and / or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not done through Oxford Travels.
