Sightseeing Included
After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok. Begin with Ganesh Tok, a popular viewpoint visited by travelers for generations, offering panoramic views of the majestic Kangchenjunga. Next, visit the Banjhakri Falls, a serene picnic spot surrounded by lush greenery. Continue to the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, where you can explore the rich cultural heritage of Tibetan architecture and Buddhist traditions. The day’s tour continues with a ride on the Gangtok Ropeway, providing stunning aerial views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Other key attractions include Bakthang Waterfalls, Do Drul Chorten Stupa, Tashi View Point, the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Enchey Monastery, and the Flower Show. Return to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay.

After a leisurely breakfast, depart around 8:00 AM for a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft / 3,750 m, approximately 3 hours’ drive) and Baba Harbhajan Mandir (13,200 ft / 4,000 m). The drive takes you along a winding zig-zag road through rugged mountain terrain, offering breathtaking views along the way. Tsomgo Lake, located at an altitude of 12,400 ft, is a serene and sacred lake known for its ever-changing beauty. In winter, the lake is covered with snow, creating a pristine white landscape, while in spring, colorful flowers surrounding the lake add vibrancy to the scenery. Next, visit Baba Harbhajan Mandir, a revered shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, a brave Indian soldier who tragically died while carrying supplies to a remote post near Nathula Pass in eastern Sikkim due to harsh weather conditions. The temple is a symbol of devotion and respect and is a must-visit during your trip to Sikkim. After the excursion, drive back to Gangtok and relax at your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, depart for Pelling, enjoying a scenic drive through lush tea gardens, rolling hills, and majestic mountain landscapes. Pelling is a charming town nestled amidst pine forests, offering panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains and the mighty Kangchenjunga. The town is also known for its ancient monasteries that reflect the region’s rich cultural heritage. The drive from Gangtok to Pelling takes over five hours, so after arrival, check in to your hotel, relax, and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Pelling. Begin with the Kanchenjunga Waterfalls, where the gushing waters and lush surroundings provide a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. Continue to the Sewaro Rock Garden, a picturesque spot adorned with greenery and natural beauty. Next, visit the serene Darap Valley, a scenic retreat known for its tranquility and panoramic views. After a break for lunch, continue exploring Pelling’s cultural and natural attractions, including the Pemayangtse Monastery, Helipad Ground, Rimbi Waterfalls, the sacred Khecheopalri Lake, and the historic Rabdentse Ruins, once the capital of Sikkim. Return to the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for Darjeeling. The drive, though a bit winding, offers scenic views of lush green tea gardens, sparkling rivers, quaint villages, and charming old bridges along the way. Upon arrival in Darjeeling, check in to your hotel and relax. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Begin early at around 4:00 AM and drive to the famous Tiger Hill (2,590 m) to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga, the highest peak in the region. On the return, visit the Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery. After breakfast, explore the Japanese Temple, known for its traditional architecture and significance as a Buddhist pilgrimage site. Continue sightseeing with the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Peace Pagoda, and a view of Chitrey Tea Garden. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely stroll along Mall Road. Overnight stay at the hotel.

- AC in the vehicle will not be kept on when the vehicle is not moving . i.e. When the vehicle is parked at some sightseeing place, restaurant or any place , the AC will not be kept on.

- In case we are not able to provide the same hotels as mentioned, then we shall provide similar alternate properties, change in the cost if any will be advised.
- Standard Hotel Check-in time is 1400 Hrs & Check-out time is 1100 Hrs.
- AC will not work in Hilly regions.
- We will not be held responsible for any delays in rail/airline leading to misconnecting of onward flights/train.
- If any airline/train is delayed or cancelled, Oxford Travels is not responsible for any compensation for hotels, meals, sightseeing or any other claim.
To book any Domestic Holiday or travel services, a person has to make an initial non-refundable deposit of Rs. 2,499/- per person. In case a person want to book air-tickets / train tickets as part of his tour package, 100% payment is required as the time of booking. Balance payment is to be paid at least 15 days prior to date of departure.
Cancellation Rules: Cancellations of a tour package must be intimated to us in writing / Email & cancellation charges applicable are as follows:
- 21 Days or more prior to the departure or non-payment of balance amount- Rs.2,499/- per person.
- 20-15 Days prior to the departure 25% of the tour cost.
- 14-07 Days prior to the departure of the tour 50% of the total tour cost.
- 07-04 Days prior to the departure of the tour 75% of the total tour cost.
- 03 Days prior or a “No Show” on the tour 100% of the total tour cost.
For the cancellation of services other than tour package (such as air-tickets/train-tickets/cruises/safaris, etc) booked with Oxford Travels will attract cancellation charges as per the policy of respective supplier of the services. Oxford Travels does not take responsibility for fees relating to the issuance and / or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not done through Oxford Travels.

- Answer. For Nathula Pass, Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, North Sikkim (Lachen, Lachung, Gurudongmar, Yumthang) – a special permit is required. Tour operators usually arrange this with valid ID and passport-size photos.
- Foreign nationals require Protected Area Permits (PAP) for most restricted zones.
