Activity Policies
- Visitors must have a valid ticket for the Tower Bridge Exhibition and follow staff instructions.
- Security checks may be carried out, and prohibited or dangerous items are not permitted.
- Visitors must remain on designated visitor routes and respect restricted areas.
- Visitors should not touch, climb or damage historic structures, exhibits or the glass floor.
- Photography is generally permitted for personal use, subject to specific restrictions.
- Children must remain under the supervision of an accompanying adult.
- Food and drinks are permitted only in designated areas.
- Large luggage and bulky items may be subject to restrictions or security requirements.
- Visitors must follow all safety and evacuation instructions.
- Access to certain areas may be temporarily restricted due to maintenance, bridge operations, events or safety requirements.
Terms & Conditions
- Valid Ticket: All visitors entering the Tower Bridge attraction must hold a valid ticket. Tickets cover a single admission; re-entry requires a new ticket.
- Opening Hours: Tower Bridge is generally open daily from 09:30 to 18:00, with last admission at 17:00 for the Towers and 17:30 for the Engine Rooms. It is closed from 24–26 December and opens from 10:00 on 1 January.
- Timed Entry: Advance tickets are valid only for the date and time stated. Visitors may enter up to 20 minutes after their allocated time; entry after this period is not guaranteed.
- Security Checks: Visitors and their belongings may be subject to bag searches and security checks before entering the attraction.
- Children: Visitors under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 5 are admitted free but require a ticket.
- Visitor Conduct: Visitors must follow staff instructions, behave appropriately and respect the safety and wellbeing of other visitors and staff.
- Protection of Heritage: Visitors must not damage or interfere with the historic structure, exhibits, machinery, displays or other property belonging to Tower Bridge.
- High-Level Walkways & Glass Floors: Visitors must remain within designated areas and follow all safety instructions while using the walkways and glass floors.
- Photography & Filming: Photography and filming are subject to the official visitor conditions. Commercial filming, professional photography and certain equipment may require prior permission.
- Food & Drink: Food and drink are subject to the attraction's designated areas and visitor regulations.
- Animals: Assistance dogs are permitted subject to the official conditions. Other animals may be restricted.
- Luggage & Personal Belongings: Restrictions apply to bags and luggage. Visitors are responsible for their personal belongings, and lost-property procedures apply.
- Accessibility: Tower Bridge provides accessibility facilities, including lifts serving the Towers and Engine Rooms. Visitors should check the current accessibility guidance before travelling.
- Bridge Operations: Tower Bridge is a working bridge. Bridge lifts may affect visitor entry times or tours, and staff will make reasonable efforts to accommodate affected visitors.
- Closures: Parts of Tower Bridge or individual exhibits may occasionally be closed for maintenance, technical reasons, security or other operational circumstances.
- Refunds & Rescheduling: Tickets are generally non-refundable. Standard entry tickets may be transferred to an alternative date and time if the change is requested before the original visit date, subject to availability and the applicable conditions.
- Exceptional Closure: If Tower Bridge is closed due to exceptional circumstances or a booked service cannot be provided, the applicable ticket may be exchanged or refunded according to the official terms.
- Liability: Visitors attend the attraction at their own risk, subject to the exclusions and provisions in Tower Bridge's official Conditions of Entry.
Cancellation Policy
Tower Bridge tickets are non-refundable. However, standard admission, Relaxed Opening and Quieter Time bookings can be transferred to an alternative date and time if requested before the original visit date. The rearranged visit must take place within one year of the original booking date. Any price difference for a higher-priced date must be paid, while no refund is given for a lower-priced date. Guided and private tours are subject to separate rescheduling deadlines and availability. If Tower Bridge is unable to provide the booked service, a full refund will be issued.
