Activity Policies
- Entry to the cathedral museum requires a valid admission ticket.
- Visitors must pass through security screening and inspection of personal belongings before entering.
- Visitors must not touch display cases, exhibits, historic interiors or other museum objects.
- Photography and video recording are permitted without flash or tripods, although temporary exhibitions may impose additional restrictions.
- Bags and packages larger than 30 × 40 cm, as well as backpacks and umbrellas, should be left in the cloakroom.
- Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult or authorised responsible person.
- The cathedral contains uneven historic floors and high thresholds, so visitors should take extra care while walking.
- Due to the historic interior layout, visitors using children’s or wheelchair strollers cannot currently enter the cathedral with them.
- Opening hours can vary seasonally, and the ticket office closes before the museum itself.

- The ticket office and museum entrance close one hour before the museum's closing time.
- Visitors must follow the museum's visitor rules and instructions from staff throughout the visit.
- Children under 14 must be accompanied by adults on the premises of the State Historical Museum.
- The cathedral contains historic floors with uneven surfaces and high thresholds. Visitors are specifically advised by the museum to exercise caution.
- Visitors must take care when moving through the historic interiors and should comply with any safety restrictions or staff instructions.
- Photography, filming and other recording activities are subject to the museum's applicable visitor rules and any restrictions communicated on site.
- Access to particular areas may be restricted or temporarily changed because of religious services, museum programmes, maintenance, safety or other operational requirements.
- The museum may change opening arrangements or temporarily close the cathedral when necessary.
- Ticket refunds are governed by the official State Historical Museum refund rules. For tickets purchased through the museum's official website, refunds are processed by bank transfer/card according to the applicable procedure and must generally be requested no later than 3 days before the visit.
- Expired tickets are not refundable.
- Tickets purchased at a discounted rate without valid proof of eligibility are not refundable.
- In the event of an unscheduled museum closure, the museum provides a full refund for sold admission tickets; where possible, group excursions may instead be rescheduled.
Cancellation Policy
St. Basil’s Cathedral tickets are subject to the refund rules of the State Historical Museum. Tickets may be returned in accordance with the official refund procedure, with refunds for the day of the visit processed no later than the date stated on the ticket. In case of unscheduled closure of the museum, the full ticket price is refundable. Where possible, booked excursions may be rescheduled.
