- Red Square is a public outdoor space, and general access is normally free.
- Visitors should follow instructions from security personnel and local authorities.

- Visitors must not climb on monuments, barriers or architectural structures.
- Littering and behaviour that disturbs public order are prohibited.
- Photography is generally permitted in the public areas, subject to applicable security restrictions.
- Visitors should respect memorials and historic sites within the square.
- Access to individual attractions such as Saint Basil’s Cathedral, Lenin’s Mausoleum and the Kremlin is governed by their own opening hours, admission rules and ticket conditions.

- Littering, vandalism and activities that could damage the historic environment are prohibited.
- Photography for personal use is generally permitted in public areas, but professional or commercial photography/filming may require prior permission.
- Visitors should not interfere with official ceremonies, security operations or other authorised activities taking place in the square.
- Children should remain under the supervision of an accompanying adult.
- Visitors are responsible for their personal belongings.
- The authorities may introduce temporary restrictions without prior notice where required for public safety or security.
- Since Red Square itself has no standard admission ticket, cancellation and refund provisions do not apply to an ordinary visit.
- If a guided tour or organised excursion to Red Square is booked through a tour operator, that booking's own cancellation and refund policy will apply.
Cancellation Policy
Red Square is a public historic landmark and does not require an admission ticket or advance reservation for a standard visit or photo stop. Therefore, no cancellation or refund policy applies. Any separately booked guided tour, Kremlin visit or organised activity is subject to the cancellation and refund conditions of the respective operator.
