Activity Policies
- Visitors should follow local safety instructions and respect designated public areas along the river.
- Swimming is permitted only in officially designated bathing areas and under applicable local rules.
- Visitors should not enter restricted areas or interfere with river infrastructure.
- Children should remain under the supervision of an accompanying adult, especially near the water.
- Visitors should keep the riverbanks and surrounding areas clean and dispose of waste responsibly.
- Visitors should respect other pedestrians, swimmers and local residents.
- Boating and water activities must comply with applicable Zurich waterway and safety regulations.
- Access to certain areas may be restricted temporarily due to weather, water levels, maintenance or public events.
Terms & Conditions
- Access: The Limmat River and its riverside areas are public spaces. Access is generally free, subject to local rules and temporary restrictions.
- Boat Cruises: If the itinerary includes a Limmat River boat cruise, the cruise is subject to the operating schedule, ticket conditions and availability of the relevant boat operator.
- Booking Confirmation: Pre-booked cruises or tours are confirmed after the required payment has been completed, with a booking confirmation or voucher issued.
- Departure: Guests should arrive at the designated boarding point at least 15–20 minutes before departure.
- Late Arrival: Boats generally depart according to schedule. Guests arriving after departure may be treated as a no-show and may not receive a refund.
- Weather Conditions: Boat operations may be affected by weather, water levels, safety conditions or other operational circumstances.
- Itinerary Changes: The route, departure time or duration may be changed due to weather, water conditions, traffic, maintenance, safety requirements or other circumstances beyond the operator's control.
- Cancellation by Customer: Cancellation and refund conditions depend on the specific cruise operator and ticket type. Non-refundable tickets are not eligible for a refund.
- Cancellation by Operator: If a cruise is cancelled by the operator, an alternative departure or refund may be offered according to the applicable booking conditions.
- No-Show: Failure to arrive at the boarding point on time may result in no refund.
- Children: Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult and comply with the operator's safety requirements.
- Personal Belongings: Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. The operator is generally not liable for loss, theft or damage.
- Safety: Passengers must follow the crew's instructions and comply with all safety regulations.
- Liability: The operator is not responsible for delays, route changes or cancellations caused by weather, water conditions, technical issues, safety restrictions or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Cancellation Policy
The Limmat River is a public attraction and does not require an admission ticket or advance reservation. Therefore, no cancellation or refund policy applies to a standard visit. Any separately booked cruise, boat trip, guided tour or other activity on the Limmat River is subject to the cancellation terms of the respective operator.
