Terms & Conditions
- Access: The lakes and many surrounding viewpoints and promenades are generally accessible to visitors without an admission ticket.
- Boat Cruises: Scheduled cruises and lake transport are operated by the relevant navigation companies and require valid tickets. Services follow seasonal timetables.
- Timings: Boat schedules vary by season and may change due to operational requirements, weather and water conditions.
- Weather Conditions: Cruises and outdoor activities may be affected by storms, strong winds, heavy rain, snow or other adverse weather conditions.
- Water Conditions: Boat operations may be modified, delayed or suspended when water or safety conditions make navigation unsuitable.
- Itinerary Changes: An organised tour may change its route, sightseeing stops or schedule because of traffic, weather, transport disruptions, local events or safety requirements.
- Cancellation by Customer: Cancellation and refund conditions depend on the specific boat cruise, excursion or tour booked. Non-refundable tickets are not eligible for a refund.
- Cancellation by Operator: If a cruise or tour is cancelled by the operator, an alternative service or refund may be offered according to the applicable ticket conditions.
- No-Show: Failure to arrive at the designated meeting point or boat departure point on time may result in no refund.
- Photography: Photography for personal use is generally permitted from public areas and during cruises, subject to the operator's rules.
- Safety: Passengers and visitors must follow instructions from boat crews, guides and local authorities.
- Personal Belongings: Visitors are responsible for their personal belongings. Operators are generally not liable for loss, theft or damage.

- Liability: Operators are not responsible for delays, route changes or cancellations caused by weather, water conditions, technical problems, maintenance, transport disruptions or other circumstances beyond their reasonable control.
Cancellation Policy
Lake Thun and Lake Brienz are public natural attractions and do not require an admission ticket or advance reservation for a standard visit. Therefore, no cancellation or refund policy applies to a standard visit. Any separately booked boat cruise, guided tour, excursion or organised activity is subject to the cancellation and refund conditions of the respective operator.
