- Visitors should remain on designated paths and viewing areas, particularly in snowy or icy conditions.
- Appropriate warm clothing and suitable footwear are strongly recommended due to high-altitude weather conditions.
- Visitors must not enter restricted areas, railway facilities or protected zones.
- When visiting the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe, visitors should follow all instructions regarding lifts, tunnels, trains and viewing platforms.
- Children must remain under the supervision of an accompanying adult.
- Weather conditions can affect transport services and access to outdoor areas.
- Visitors should respect the Alpine environment and avoid littering or disturbing the natural surroundings.
Terms & Conditions
- Valid Ticket: Visitors must have a valid ticket or reservation for the selected Jungfraujoch journey and must retain it throughout the trip.
- Travel Date & Reservation: Tickets and seat reservations are subject to the date, route and conditions selected at the time of booking.
- Departure: Passengers should arrive at the designated railway station in sufficient time before departure. Trains operate according to the published timetable.
- Seat Reservations: Where a seat reservation is required or recommended, passengers must follow the assigned reservation and boarding instructions.
- Weather Conditions: Train services and access to Jungfraujoch may be affected by severe weather, snow, wind, technical problems or other circumstances beyond the operator's control.
- Timetable Changes: Departure times, routes and operating arrangements may be changed or temporarily suspended for operational, safety or weather-related reasons.
- Safety: Visitors must follow all instructions, warning signs and directions given by Jungfrau Railways staff.
- Visitor Conduct: Visitors must behave responsibly and must not engage in activities that could endanger themselves, other passengers or staff.
- Mountain Conditions: Visitors should be prepared for cold temperatures, snow and changing mountain weather even during summer. Suitable clothing and footwear are recommended.
- Health & Altitude: Jungfraujoch is located at approximately 3,454 metres above sea level. Visitors should take the altitude into consideration and allow themselves time to acclimatise if necessary.
- Children: Children must remain under the supervision of an accompanying adult and follow all railway and visitor safety instructions.
- Personal Belongings: Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings. Large or unsuitable items may be subject to railway regulations.
- Photography: Personal photography is generally permitted. Visitors must not enter restricted areas or interfere with safety barriers while taking photographs.
- Cancellation & Refunds: Cancellation, modification and refund conditions depend on the ticket type and booking conditions applicable at the time of purchase.
- Temporary Closures: Individual attractions, viewpoints or facilities at Jungfraujoch may be temporarily closed because of weather, maintenance, safety requirements or other operational circumstances.
Cancellation Policy
Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe tickets purchased through the official webshop can be cancelled free of charge until 23:59 on the day before the first day of validity. Once the ticket becomes valid, refunds are not possible. Tickets purchased at Jungfrau Railways sales points or ticket machines may be refunded before the validity period, subject to a CHF 10 processing fee per booking. Seat reservations can be cancelled free of charge until 21:59 on the day before validity and modified up to 45 minutes before departure. Special products may be subject to different cancellation conditions.
