Activity Policies
- Visitors must follow the opening hours and visitor regulations of the Doge’s Palace.
- For guided tours, visitors arriving more than 15 minutes after the scheduled departure time may be excluded from the tour.
- Large suitcases, trolleys and bulky luggage are not permitted inside the museum. Free cloakroom facilities are available for suitable items.
- Bags and backpacks may be inspected by security staff.
- Visitors must comply with the museum's safety, security and visitor regulations.
- For special/exclusive visits, advance reservation is required and tickets purchased are non-refundable.
- The Bridge of Sighs activity may be subject to the operating conditions, access arrangements and availability of the Doge’s Palace.

- Access: Entry to the Bridge of Sighs is subject to the access arrangements and ticket conditions of the attraction or tour through which it is visited.
- Booking: Where advance booking is required, visitors must hold a valid ticket or booking confirmation.
- Timed Entry: Visitors must respect the scheduled entry time stated on their ticket where timed admission applies. The official Basilica complex permits a maximum 15-minute tolerance around booked entry times.
- Identification: For named tickets, visitors may be required to present a valid identity document matching the ticket details.
- Dress & Conduct: Visitors must behave respectfully at historic and religious sites and follow all instructions issued by attraction staff.
- Itinerary Changes: Access may be modified or temporarily restricted because of maintenance, special events, safety requirements, operational reasons or other circumstances beyond the operator's control.
- Late Arrival: Guests arriving after the permitted entry time may be refused admission or treated according to the ticket provider's no-show conditions.
- Cancellation by Customer: Cancellation and refund conditions depend on the specific ticket, attraction or tour operator. Non-refundable tickets are not eligible for a refund.
- Cancellation by Operator: If the attraction or tour operator cancels the visit, an alternative arrangement or refund may be offered according to the applicable booking conditions.
- No-Show: Failure to attend at the scheduled time may result in no refund, subject to the ticket conditions.
- Personal Belongings: Visitors are responsible for their belongings and must comply with any applicable security or baggage restrictions.
- Safety: Visitors must follow staff instructions and comply with all safety and security regulations.
- Photography: Photography and filming are subject to the rules of the specific attraction and must not interfere with other visitors or staff.
Cancellation Policy
The Bridge of Sighs is generally visited as part of the Doge’s Palace experience and does not have a separate cancellation policy. Cancellation and refund conditions are subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable Doge’s Palace ticket or tour booked.
